Jamie Josephs, a native of Corpus Christi, Texas, took her first 35mm camera to Israel and Europe in 1975 prior to her junior year in college. It was love at first click. She went on to study photojournalism at the University of Texas at Austin and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism.

Jamie traveled the world with her mother for two decades buying and collecting for their international folk art store, Pilar.

Now, after 30 years of photographing the people, traditions, arts, cultural events and landscapes of indigenous people of Peru, Mexico, Guatemala, the American Southwest, Israel and other distant lands Jamie Josephs makes a ‘peace offering.’
